Pretzel Dessert Combines Salty and Sweet

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ground pretzels
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 pkgs. whipped topping
  • 2 pkgs. any flavor Jello
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 sm. boxes frozen strawberries (or fruit to match Jello)

Directions:

Mix 2 cup of crushed pretzels with 1 1/2 sticks melted butter. Press in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Cream 2 packages of cream cheese with 2 cups sugar. Spread over pretzels. Whip 2 packages of whipped topping according to package directions.  Spoon over cream cheese mixture.  Dissolve 2 packages of Jello in 2 cups boiling pineapple juice or water. Put 2 small boxes frozen strawberries/fruit in Jello; do not thaw. When mixture gels, spoon over whipped topping. Refrigerate, and enjoy.
