Melanie Lehman is a senior, and this is her third year as a journalist. This year she is acting content editor for The Tiger Times. She is currently employed at Karate for Kids, where she is an instructor and co-runs the after-school program. She absolutely loves her job because it is usually the highlight of her day. After high school, she plans on attending college to receive her Master’s in Psychology. She wants to help people who have gone through pain and suffering because she recently lost her father. Lehman is involved in many activities in school and out. She is also the treasurer of The Paranormal Club and assists with each biannual blood drive. Her favorite book series is the Sookie Stackhouse Novels, so, naturally, she loves the HBO series True Blood. Her favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and her favorite TV show is AWKWARD. Car rides are her favorite activity because they are the only time in the day she can just sit back and relax to some music with her friends and boyfriend. Lehman’s favorite types of music are country and oldies. If she accomplishes anything in life, she hopes that, like many people have done to her, she leaves an impression on at least one person’s life for the better. She hopes that, along with that, she is half the person that her father was because that is how so many people remember him.
