American Idol is back once again for season ten, but it is returning as a far different show than in previous years. Joining the panel of judges beside well-known Randy Jackson is legendary Stephen Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.
J-Lo has already proven herself as an actress, singer, dancer, producer, and fashion designer, and she has won awards for her roles in movies and her number one hits, such as “If You Had My Love.” In mid-2010, reports surfaced that Lopez would be joining American Idol, and in September, the program’s producers officially confirmed it.
Stephen Tyler, lead singer and rock icon from the band Aerosmith, was a fantastic choice for the show. Along with being the vocal front man of his band, he also plays harmonica, piano, and percussion, and he was welcomed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Aerosmith in 2001. Even with his new role as judge, Tyler still continues to record and perform with Aerosmith after more than forty years with the band.
The hopefuls on Idol seem to be ecstatic about Tyler and J-Lo becoming part of the show, and even though the Season 9 judges will be missed, these famous artists definitely bring an upbeat energy to the table.
