Boys’ Soccer Ready To Continue Era

After having a winning season last year, this year’s boys’ soccer team expects to perform just as well, if not better, than last year. With last year’s players coming back to play, the team should have excellent leadership to hopefully push the boys to playoffs.

In order to have a successful season, the team says they must continue working hard, playing as a team, communicating, and using their speed.

“This is a new chapter in Fleetwood history. We need to continue to work hard and play as a team,” goalie Keaton Moyer said.

If the boys keep working hard, they can easily have a spot in playoffs.  Captains Aaron Nelson, Steve Dunkle, Mitch DuCoin, and Mark McGarry play a big role in the Tiger’s success. Together, they drive and motivate the team to continue playing their best.

The rest of the team looks up to these big players so that, when they move on, someone else can fill their shoes.

“We have been playing pretty good, but we just need to keep our eyes set on a goal and strive for it. Also, our team is a lot faster than last year’s, but we haven’t really shown it yet,” Nelson said.

“If you’re just sitting on the couch at home wishing you had friends, there is nothing better to do than come and watch your team get a few wins,” sophomore Brenden Homman said.

Fleetwood plans on having a good season this year. With some leadership and hard work, the Tigers will achieve their goal of having a winning season or at least building up their team for next year.
