Congratulations are in order for the twenty-four students in FBLA for qualifying to attend the State Leadership Conference in April!

Mark Weston, Lauren Hughes and Courtney Rentschler all placed in Introduction to Business.

“This was my first time. My sister recommended me to join FBLA. It sounded interesting, and I thought it would be fun. I also liked how we were on a college campus; I thought that was pretty cool,” freshman Lauren Hughes, placing second, said.

Laura Kaskey and Julia Donohoe both placed in Introduction to Business Communication.

“This is my first time going to an FBLA conference. It seemed like a good way to get involved, and I like the people in FBLA. I like that I get to participate in FBLA with my friends. I am also excited to go to states,” freshman Laura Kaskey, placing fourth, said.

The team of Danica Flinchbaugh, Brittany Tyson, and Katelyn Werner placed in entrepreneurship.

“This was my second regional competition with FBLA, and I placed fifth out of the six teams in my category. These competitions to me are a great experience to meet new people. I had a really fun time at the conference with my friends,” junior Danica Flinchbaugh said.

Senior Joseph Kinek placed 2nd in Accounting II.

“I’m sad this is my last conference, but I’m happy that I get to go to states,” Kinek said.
