Tyeler Barr is a senior at Fleetwood Area High School and is the President of The Tiger Times. This is his second year in Journalism as a layout editor. He was born in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. Barr describes himself as “academically inclined and outspoken.” His life goals include writing a novel and traveling the world. Barr indicated that his life philosophy is, “You grow up and you die, so you may as well do what you want so that you can enjoy the time that you have. No one’s opinion matters but you own.” Tyeler Barr lives at home with his two siblings Jordan, 15, and Callie, 13, and his mother, Jenny, along with furry friends Lucifer (cat) and Izzy (dog). Barr listens to all kinds of music except gospel; mostly, he listens to metal music and “anything edgy.” Unlike English teacher Zachary Houp, Barr strongly believes that glitter is amazing. Barr has recently learned how to rock climb and is excited that he is able to “belay.” His mother describes him as “amazingly intelligent.” She promises that she didn’t drop him on his head as a baby. Barr aspires to become a journalist after he graduates.
