The November Students of the Month are Andrew Tissera and Emma Davies.
Andrew Tissera has one sibling and is the son of Teresa Gerstle. Tissera’s favorite subject is English, and his future plans include attending college to study business with a core concentration in marketing while working on his career as an actor, model, author, singer, and songwriter.
Tissera is involved with Student Council, Yearbook, Artifact, and Class Government. Some of his hobbies include photography, art, activism, and fashion. One of his biggest role models is Stevie Nicks.
Tissera believes that his academic standing and morals secured his position as a senior SOTM.
Other information about Andrew includes that he is “constantly burdened under the weight of an ongoing existential crisis.”
Emma Davies has two siblings and is the daughter of Thomas and Jennifer Davies.
Davies’ favorite subject is science, and her future plans include pursuing a career in forensic psychology with degrees in both psychology and political science.
She is involved in Student Council, student government, National Honor Society, orchestra, string ensemble, chorus, vocal Ensemble, theater, and Relay for Life. Some of her hobbies include playing the guitar, playing the piano, reading, and writing.
Davies’ biggest role model is her mother because she has raised her to be the person she is today and keeps her afloat when the going gets tough. Her mother has also allowed her to create her own beliefs as well as her own ideals.
Davies credits her sincere dedication helping the high school and community to improve the environment as the reason for being awarded Student-of-the-Month. She says she is deeply passionate about helping people.
Other information about Emma Davies includes that she represented Pennsylvania with thirty other delegates statewide at the National Association of Student Council Conference in Portland, Oregon, this past June.
