Is Water Wet?

Is water really wet? Non-believers of water being wet like to say that water itself actually isn’t wet; they just think it’s wet because, when they come in contact with water, they naturally get wet because they are normally dry.

A lot of people have different opinions on water actually being wet or not. According to Google, “Water isn’t wet. Wetness is a description of our experience of water.”

“No, water isn’t wet. Water is water.  When you touch water, your hand would be wet, but the water itself can’t be wet because it’s job is to make things wet,” sophomore Amber Weiss said.

“Water is wet because the definition of wet is being saturated with water.  All living organisms have water in or around them.  Fish are still soaked and are wet, considering their environment,” science teacher Mrs. Karen Favata said.
