Bill Cosby, once known as the “American Dad, was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault that stemmed from drugging and molesting a women in Philadelphia 14 years ago.

Cosby ended up facing consequences in the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania.  The verdict was reached around 2:00 p.m. Three of Cosby’s accusers attended this court case and broke out in tears when they heard the verdict. Eleven months ago, before this trial, the conviction came out to the public, but the jury failed to reach a verdict.

The jury on 26 April 2018 consisted of seven males and five females. They spent over twelve hours evaluating evidence that was given before they came to their final decision.

“He used his celebrity, he used his wealth, he used his network of supporters to help him conceal his crimes, and now we really know today who was behind that act, who the real Bill Cosby was and a jury has spoken with one voice in a court of law and found the defendant guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in his Elkins Park home,” Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said.

The 80-year-old comedian and actor faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and will be sentenced within 90 days, following pre-sentence investigation. Cosby’s sentencing date has not been released yet.

“Cosby is guilty because there is a bunch of evidence and multiple assaults. I don’t think the accusers just wanted money. I believe they wanted justice for what happened to them. Cosby is definitely trying to curve these accusations with his money and fame because he doesn’t want to seem guilty.  He wants to be an innocent [redacted] like OJ Simpson,” junior Maddy Fiechtel said.
