Sarah Kathryn Ghorab was born on February 27, 2008, at Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania and is a senior at Fleetwood Area High School as well as a journalist for the Tiger Times. Her middle name is attributed to her grandmother. Others will recognize her as a reserved, introspective, non-confrontational optimist; she is also staunchly environmentally conscientious. Being a pacifist, not much makes her upset, but one way to do so would be to litter or exercise dangerous carelessness. Ghorab finds herself laughing at the benign things in life, such as ‘brainrot.’ Ghorab is firm in her future plans for college while ironing out the details; she aims to become either a Psychiatric Nurse or Lawyer. In childhood, she had dreams of becoming a performer;: a double-threat as an actress and singer. Similarly, her cat, Princess, is a prima donna opera singer. Ghorab has a deep appreciation for music and enjoys K-Pop and Childish Gambino; she describes the concert of the latter as the best night of her life. Her favorite song is Ghost Girl by the Korean boy group, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT). She understands the concept of the song, but not the lyrics particularly. Ghorab enjoys the art of crotchet and is most happy traveling, having visited Qatar, Germany, Poland, France, Egypt, and Morrocco–with Morrocco being her favorite of them all. She would like to visit Greenland and Mount Hallasan in South Korea. She speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic. In ten years, Ghorab sees herself traveling to these places and expresses interest in marriage further down the line, with her dream wedding in Egypt on account of the loud music and beautiful lights. Ghorab’s ideal spouse would be respectful and similarly environmentally conscientious . Most importantly, Ghorab wants someone with whom she can travel. She is considering one to two children. Ghorab errs on the sentimental side of life and can appreciate beautiful love stories such as her favorite film, La La Land, even if she wishes they got together in the end. Her favorite novel, The Setting Sun, by Osamu Dazai is not a love story at all, justbeautiful. Ghorab’s favorite quote from the latter is, “I like roses best. But they bloom in all four seasons. I wonder if people who like roses best have to die four times over again.” Ghorab cares deeply for the people (and cat) that matter to her. Her worst dream was when, while Trick or Treating with friends, an old woman tried to murder them and in the commotion flushed Princess down the toilet, and Ghorab woke up crying. Ghorab’s most prized possession is the invaluable butterfly necklace she wears for her mother, from whom she will always be inseparable. Ghorab exudes a subdued and invaluable warmth to her peers and is a fastidious and careful worker who wants to ‘make a difference.’
