It’s a big win for the Knicks winning, the NBA cup finals, getting their first trophy since 1973!
The matchup between the Spurs and the Knicks had good back-and-forth. Both teams hold eighteen-to-seven records, placing them in the lead for the conferences.
In the 2025 NBA Cup Final, the New York Knicks defeated the Spurs 124-113 in Las Vegas to win a championship. Though the NBA Cup has only been around since 2023, this marks the Knicks’ first overall trophy since 1973.
The knicks led the score a lot in the fourth quarter thanks to Anunoby with 28 points and Brunson with 25 points. They dominated the quarter with offensive rebounds and also the players off the bench.
On the Knicks, Towns played through a rough calf injury but had an outstanding performance with a double-double in points: 16 points, 11 rebounds.
During the game with the Spurs, rookie Harper led San Antonio with 21 points in the quarter. Wembanyama had 18 points but played with emotional stress because of the passing of his grandmother later in the game.
