Homecoming 2011 arrived for the 2011-12 school year during the week of 26 September. This year a lot was going on.  Even though there were not any new events taking place, most students reported the festivities were fun and exciting.

Homecoming celebrations occurred primarily leading up to the football game versus Wyomissing on 1 October .

The hallway decoration competition for each class has been a tradition at Fleetwood for a long time. Each class of students decorated a hallway with some sort of theme specific to their class.

The freshmen class was the Fantasy Freshmen, the sophomores were the Silly (Circus) Sophomores, the juniors went retro with the Jukebox Juniors, and, lastly, the Slacking Seniors failed to muster enough energy to wake up and show off their school spirit.

Students stayed after school to help decorate and help their classes out. The judging took place on Monday, 26 September. It was a close competition, but the junior class came out on top.

The next event that took place was the Powder Puff football game. A Powder Puff football game is when the girls play as the football players, and the guys become the cheerleaders in a tournament by grade. The seniors were close to repeat championships, but the juniors came out victorious in overtime.

In addition, the pep rally and numerous other activities occurred throughout the week.

The pep rally took place on Friday, 30 September. Competitions such as the wing eating contest, musical chairs, the balloon pop, the spirit chant, and the tug of war were all held during the event.  The seniors won every event except for the tug of war, which was won by the juniors.

Surveyed Fleetwood students seemed to agree that the pep rally is always one of the most fun events during homecoming.

The homecoming dance was held on the night of 30 September. All the events during homecoming week led up to the football game versus Wyomissing on Saturday, which the Tigers lost 49-0.
