Some students have been wondering whilst walking through the halls, “Who is that mysterious new teacher in Mrs. Shetayh’s old room?”

The answer to that question is Mr. Andrew Thomas.

Mr. Thomas attended Brandywine Heights High School where math was, not surprisingly, his favorite subject.

After graduating, he enrolled in State University to pursue his undergraduate degree in Economics while majoring in Business Administration. Thomas later transferred to Kutztown University as a math major.

Thomas student taught at Fleetwood Middle School until transferring to the high school to take Mrs. Shetayh’s place during her maternity leave. He believes the transition between the two schools has been flawless. His favorite things about working here are his colleagues and all the FAHS students.

When stepping out of his teaching shoes, Thomas occupies his time with various hobbies, but golfing is his number one. In addition to golf, he enjoys swimming, reading, and tennis. One thing he wants to do before he dies is “to try golfing on every continent in the world, and every state in The United States!”

Tomas lives his life by his favorite Roger Bacon quote: “For the things of this world cannot be made known without a knowledge of mathematics.”

As a teacher of Algebra I, Algebra II, and Academic Prep, Thomas has made a wonderful addition to our staff here at Fleetwood Area High School. Now that the identity of this enigmatic figure has been revealed, no one can avoid saying hello to Fleetwood’s newest addition.
