Is Global Warming Real?

Since the early 2000s, global warming has been a topic of conversation among many people all over the world. Millions have speculated on the matter, and each side of the argument seems to hold a fair amount of weight.

Plenty of evidence has been provided that states global warming is a real threat, but just as much evidence has been brought to  light that makes global warming look as real as fairy tales.

The question on everyone’s mind, but no one can know for certain, is whether or not global warming really is happening.

What confuses most people about the matter is the endless amounts of one-sided propaganda. Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” produced millions of global-warming-believers.

On the other side of the spectrum, there are plenty of articles that would make the reader believe global warming is a hoax. However, only one side can be correct on the matter.

After reading countless articles on the matter and viewing a multitude of films and Internet specials, I believe global warming is a naturally occurring process that comes and goes from time to time. My claim can be justified in just one word: inconsistent.

While the winter of 2012 has seen very little snow, the 2010 and 2011 winter seasons have had record-breaking snowfall. While this inconsistency does not in itself debunk global warming, it does poke a hole in the theory that greenhouse gasses are consistently raising the earth’s temperature. In other words, we may see periods of extreme highs, but we are also experiencing extreme lows, which contradicts the “greenhouse gas” theory.

At the end of the day, we can’t be sure whether or not global warming is an occurring phenomenon or not. All we can do for now is make educated assumptions and hope this supposed phenomenon is a hoax.
