You might have overheard about something called Firefly while making your way down the FAHS hallways. Make sure you do not get it confused with the six-legged, glowing insect. Firefly is a four-day music festival filled with a lot of top notch bands.

The festival started up four years ago at the Dover Downs Speedway in Delaware and continues to gain popularity every year. The festival last year had a whopping 84,000 people in attendance. Firefly takes place in the middle of the warm and welcoming month of June, making it a great way to start off the summer.

Tickets go on sale immediately following the last day of the festival and again at the beginning of the next year. As the years go by and the festival gains popularity, the cost for admission goes up. The cost for a ticket is currently set at $349, but that will not stop many excited festival goers!

“Being at Firefly is one of the most amazing feelings in the world,” senior Lizzay Faust said.

Everyone should have the opportunity to witness an event such as Firefly once in their lives. This year’s lineup has not yet been posted but should be out within the next couple weeks.
