On 10 March 2015, Fleetwood Area High School’s Science Olympiad team captured third place in the Central Eastern Regional Competition at Kutztown University, allowing them to qualify for their eighteenth state competition in a row. Northwest Lehigh took first place, followed by Perkiomen Valley. The three other teams to qualify for states from the Central East region were Kutztown, Exeter, and Parkland.
Fleetwood won first place in only two events, Bridge Building (the bridge was built by seniors Tomasz Paniak and Matt Schultz; it was tested by sophomore Adam Cook and senior Matt Leibman) and Entomology (sophomore Adam Cook and senior Joe Cammarano). They medaled in five other events, including one second place, two third places, and two fourth places.
