The Fleetwood Area Community Theater has been around for twenty-nine years. They are a nonprofit organization that works with the community to put on productions for the public. They do not yet have a home of their own, so the plays are held at the St. Paul’s church in Fleetwood and at Fleetwood Area High School. Many in the surround community are not fully aware of FCT.
“As an alumni of FASD who was active for many years in the arts, I really appreciate being able to participate in theatre productions after graduating. FCT has given me that place, and I don’t want to travel to Reading to do it,” Secretary of Fleetwood Area Community Theatre Tara Sands said.
Becka Malanios is an actress that has been involved with FCT for six years.
“FCT is a great organization because the people who are involved are all team players. We all put on the shows that we do because it’s fun. We help each other out, we take care of one another,” Malanios said.
