Natalie Slusser and Jacob Reese were named students-of-the-month for October by FAHS faculty.

Slusser is the daughter of Marci and Michael Slusser. Her future plans include attending Dickinson College to continue her academic and athletic careers with the intention to attend law school and play collegiate field hockey.

“Field hockey has given me an outlet and a passion, which has certainly changed me for the better.” Slusser said.

The outgoing senior looks up to both her brothers. These intelligent and kind siblings have shaped her into who she is to this day.

Reese is the son of Frank and Jennifer Reese, and he plans to attend a university to obtain a degree in political science. Since he was born, Reese has been involved in his church. Reverand Wally Vinovskis, his pastor, has helped him through mentorship and friendship to become the person he is today. Because he was homeschooled in middle school, Reese credits math teacher Mrs. Laura Treichler for pushing him to come out of his shell, which has also helped Reese to become drum major for the band.

“Marching in parades, competing at jazz festivals, and performing in concerts have been some of my favorite high school memories, and the people involved have made it an extremely fun experience,” Reese said.

Both Reese and Slusser have earned this award by showing their dedication and perseverance to achieving greatness.
