This year’s September students-of-the-month at Fleetwood Area High School are Lindsay Solomon and Dominic Barrell-Kobryn. The students-of-the-month for October are Gabbie Williams and Carly Karnish.
Each of these students has taken advantage of the opportunities available to them at the high school. They are heavily involved in their community as well.
“Try to push yourself to try new things every day, and be involved in your community because you never know where different activities could lead you in your life,” Solomon said.
Solomon participates on the track and field, cross country, and soccer teams. She also takes part in several extracurricular clubs.
Barrel-Kobryn is involved in jazz band, marching band, wind ensemble, men’s chorus, and choraliers. He also contributes to the community through parades and color runs.
Williams is the class president as well as the Student Council President; she also participates on the softball team and in several clubs, as well as two honor societies.
Karnish is a class officer and is involved in two honor societies and many clubs at the high school. She also attends the Berks Career and Technology Center.
After graduation, all four of these students plan to attend a four-year university.
Solomon plans to study biology or environmental science; Barrel-Kobryn plans to study musical theater; Williams plans to study elementary education; and Karnish plans to earn a degree in nursing.
