Holiday Season Arrives at Fleetwood Area High School

The holiday season has arrived at Fleetwood Area High School. Decorations are hung and activities are prepared for the students and staff to enjoy leading up to the holidays. 

In preparation, the Student Council has created several themed activities for students to take part in during the days before winter break.

“Student Council plans every single part of the holiday events at school! We plan the entirety of the December half-day, including the pep rally and volleyball tournament. We also have the ugly sweater competition and decorate the school during our meetings,”  Fleetwood senior and Student Council President Gabbie Williams said.

This half-day, on December 22, 2023, will include a holiday pep rally and the continuation of the volleyball tournament that began on November 22, 2023.  

Every year, the entire school gathers in the main gym to enjoy the December pep rally. This pep rally is full of themed activities for students to participate in or watch. 

“I think the holiday activities are a fun way to work with classmates and get to know people you aren’t typically around,” Fleetwood senior McKenzie Heck said. 

Additionally, the  December half-day will include the continuation of the new competition, “Senior’s Got Talent,” which began on the November half-day. 

In November, five small groups of seniors displayed their talents and the rest of the senior class voted for their favorite act. One group was eliminated.
