Sophomore class adviser and math teacher Samantha Phillips, alongside her tenth graders, have organized a new fundraiser to support the class that will help to pay for the class of 2028 graduation and prom. Students are hoping to sell 32 boxes of Gertrude Hawk chocolate bars by the time spring break starts.
There are two different price options from which patrons can choose. Candy fans can either buy one chocolate bar for $3 or 2 chocolate bars for $5. They can acquire these bars by finding a student participating in the fundraiser. Most likely, anyone can find them by walking in the hallways looking out for others with chocolate boxes or by asking a friend.
The fundraiser started February 24th. While there is no set amount of money the class is striving to raise, the more they make means the less prom tickets will coast for the class of 2028. And the remainder goes towards graduation.
Now might be the best time for the fundraiser because no other clubs/classes are selling chocolates right. If you want to help out the class of 2028, see Ms. Phillips or look around the hallways!
