Hello, you may have heard about my first adventure. My adventure took place at Universal Studios, Florida. This time, I’ll be going to another place in the USA, and I’ll try to stump you again. Off I go!
Thursday Night: Tonight I shall be leaving my cozy and spacious mushroom to be trapped in a car for so very long. With all my luggage in the trunk and some snacks in the cab, I take off in my little car. A friend of mine told me that it is easier to get to my destination if I leave at night, so I’m going to test his theory.
Friday: I have to admit: my friend was quite right. I arrived at my destination around lunchtime. After checking into my hotel, I took my luggage to my room. I looked out the window and stared into a beautiful African savanna. Once I was done, I headed down to the bus. The bus took me to a place with a structure in front that reminded me of a golf ball. The golf ball was in front of two wings and a lake. Surrounding the lake were different countries. In there, I went hang gliding, snorkeling, and traveling to outer space. I was even a test gnome for a fast car ride. After my long car ride, I had to end my day early and go back to the hotel for a snooze.
Saturday: I woke up early and rushed to the bus. I had a reservation for breakfast, and I didn’t want to be a second late. The meal was a breakfast buffet; it had donuts, waffles, bacon, and more. I could barely walk with how much food I had in my stomach. But Ididn’t stay there long ’cause I somehow found myself on the ride of my life. There were dinos, tigers, and yetis–Oh my! I took a little break under a really big tree. (Due to my size, most trees are big to me–except for bonsai trees.) But this tree was huge and really cool. For dinner, I had a reservation at a café in the rainforest. I got a burger, fries, and a volcano.
Sunday: Today was truly a rush. I went on a tour through outer space, a show on Broadway, lunch in the 80’s, and infinity and beyond. The night ended with a show using water projectors, fireworks, actors with ribbons, and music that made me bounce in my seat.
Monday: Oh great, another castle! But this time I had breakfast in it. The breakfast was magnificent, with fresh pastries, fruit, and French toast. I was careful where I sat down because I wasn’t going through another ride of terror. I went on a ride that made me realize it is a small world for a gnome like me. I then visited a lovely old house with 999 occupants, rode on a spinning tea-cup, and watched a marvelous display of fireworks. During the show, this crazy lady wearing Christmas lights jumped off the castle’s highest tower and zip-lined over my head. I think there was something in that French toast that was messing with my head.
Tuesday: I’m back at the golf ball place. My morning started out with breakfast at a Viking place. Afterwards, I went around the world in one hour. I sure showed that one guy who took 50 days. I went from Canada to France, Mexico to Japan. For dinner, I ate at a pizzeria in Italy. The handmade pizza was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I had Zeppole Di Catarina (Ricotta Cheese Fritters served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce); it was to die for. Afterwards, I watched an amazing fireworks display, which included a big, metal globe and an exploding barge.
Wednesday: Today I was at the same place as Sunday. The centerpiece was a big hat. I saw a lot of shows and rode on some relaxing rides. There isn’t much to say about today; it was just a laid back day for me.
Thursday: It is my last day, and I’m back to the place with the castle. This time, I was in the future surrounded by aliens and robots. I also visited an old-time frontier and rode a crazy train. Like all last days, I tried to do more shopping. At nighttime, I couldn’t miss the fireworks again. This show included bringing Christmas to the castle. The castle shimmered like a big bunch of icicles. Afterwards, I tried to go back to the hotel, but the bus line was up to the park entrance, so I walked to a nearby hotel and hopped a bus to the downtown shopping area. After last-minute shopping, I finally returned to the hotel.
Saturday: Early in the morning, I had to wake up and load the car. After a brief stop at the nearest gas station and McDonald’s, I hit the road. I arrived home at about 1:30 the following morning. I was tired, but I somehow got the car unpacked, and then I jumped into bed. That was the end of my vacation.
So, can you figure out where I went? If not, you shall get the answer in the next edition of The Tiger Times.
