Fleetwood Community Pool is selling discount student tickets for $6.00 after 4:30 p.m. (student ID required).

The pool will be open Fridays through Wednesday from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. Some Mondays the pool will be closed at 6:00 p.m. for swim meets.

One Thursday per month will be the Dip ’N’ Dance.  The pool has a snack bar that’s open until 7:00 p.m. nightly. They offer healthy options and specials for visitors.

The Fleetwood Pool is located on 500 West Vine Street in Fleetwood.

Daily admission before 4:30 p.m. for the Fleetwood pool is $8.00 for students with valid ID, which includes college students twenty-two and younger.

Adult tickets are $10.00, which includes everyone over eighteen years of age. Children under three are free with paid adults.

Family tickets are available as well as senior citizens past the age of sixty-five.

Replacement tickets are a $1.00 fee.

It seems like more Fleetwood Students are not going to attend the Fleetwood pool this year.

“I go swimming at the Brandywine pool because the Fleetwood pool is boring and you can’t do anything anymore.  It’s pointless and overrated,” junior Vegas Youse said.

“It isn’t very clean,” senior Micah Storms said.

“I don’t even know where it is!” freshman Elizabeth Walrond said.

“No I’m not going, it’s too expensive,” senior Zach Cronrath said.

“Yes I’m going, all my friends go,” freshman Ally Haas said.

“I usually don’t go unless my friends want me to or I go with them,” freshman Hannah Sell said.

Also, people said that because they have a pool themselves, or because someone they know has a pool, they will not be attending the Fleetwood Pool this year.

“All my friends have their own pool and don’t go,” sophomore Leah Grafe said.

Two ninth graders had positive remarks.

“I will be attending. I love swimming, and I go for swim team,” Sarah Rothenberger said.

“I like meeting there with my friends and it’s a good way to spend my time,” Jenna Sievert said.
