In the year 1959, the state of Hawaii was founded. There are many incredible sites there, and the weather is amazing. It is a wonderful place to travel with family, and there is a lot to experience.

Hawaii is a volcanic archipelago in the area of the Central Pacific. It is divided up into eight main islands. The islands are Maui, Oahu, Kahoolawe, Lani, Molokia, Kauai, and Niihau. There is a small island near Niihau that is overlooked by people who visit.

Something that is unique about Hawaii is that it has a variety of colors of sands on their coastal beaches. A main color of  sand is black because of the volcano erupting and the lava changing the color of it. The capital of Hawaii is Honolulu.

A memorable site to see is Pearl Harbor. It is a life changing experience. Inside the building to tour Pearl Harbor, spectators watch a movie of the horrific scenes of the occurrences that happened at Pearl Harbor.  Afterward, people ride on a boat to see the USS Arizona Memorial. The attraction has a wall with all the names of the soldiers who died that day.

There are some tourist places like the Honolulu Zoo just for kids. A lot of families visit here to see all the animals. They have unique animals like South American birds, tigers, hippos, Australasian birds, gharial, etc. The park is located in the Queen Kapi’olani Park in Honolulu.

If you like more of a relaxing stroll to view sites, you can visit Liliuokalani Park and Gardens. This is located in Banyan Drive in Hilo. They have a wide variety of bridges, trees, flowers and ponds throughout the park.

A more dangerous but adventurous park is the Hawaii Volcano National Park. The park was established in 1916. You can hike on a trail of 150 miles long. Kīpukapuaulu is an easier hike. It is known as the bird park, but if you want something more challenging, you can go on the Kīlauea Iki trail. There are other trials where you can bike, but there are a lot of safety precautions because of the volcanic air.
