Humans put a lot of things on their skin daily, but not every product is benign. Some products contain harsh chemicals mixed into the product, and the majority of these chemicals are carcinogenic.

There are three main chemicals located in products for skin health that can cause liver and kidney cancer. The chemicals are DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), and TEA (Triethanolamine). These are commonly found in soaps, bubble baths, and facial cleansers.

These chemical, Phthalates and Parables, help keep bacteria and fungus out of nail polish and perfume. They also keep the hair spray sticky for a longer time. These chemicals are harmful and have actually been linked to causing breast cancer.

Almost all FD&C color pigments are made from coal tar. This causes skin irritation to sensitive skin, and it can also deplete the oxygen levels in blood.

Most products used on the skin have a fragrance. To get these fragrances, it takes 4,000 different ingredients. The fragrances are usually either cancerous or toxic to the human body.

Formaldehyde is used in everyday products such as nail polish; antiperspirants; and other skin, body, and hair products. The interesting thing is that this chemical is also used for morticians to embalm dead bodies to slow down the rate of decomposition.

Some people think that mineral oil is good for skin. This is false. It is a petroleum derivation that coats the skin but just stays on the top layer of skin. Mineral oil is mainly found in baby products, which is really bad for the baby’s skin. The baby’s skin is very sensitive and needs all the moisture it can get.
