Fenstermacher Agrees with Graduation Decision

I heard rumors of having graduation at Kutztown University a week or so before the meeting occurred. Then, when having it at Kutztown became true, I was honestly really excited.

Considering that we have a little over 230 kids in our graduating class, our auditorium definitely was not big enough for all of our families. Personally, I already had five people to attend, so three to four tickets would not have been beneficial for me, and I’m sure that I’m not the only person who felt that way.

Now that we are going to Kutztown University, we receive an average of seven tickets each. So, those of us with larger families have no issues with having to exclude family members. Not only that, but Kutztown University has such a beautiful gym and campus in general. Although the gym does not have air conditioning, I’m pretty sure that will be the least of our worries.

While we are sitting there, waiting for each of our names to be called, excited to walk across the stage, my biggest worry is tripping on stage in front of everyone. Yeah, it may get a bit humid, and our hair might get a little frizzy, but for me, that’s the least of my worries.

The only thing that is slightly disappointing is the balloon drop. As of now, there’s not going to be one, but I know they were going to talk about doing one right in the gym after we have all crossed the stage. That would be really awesome!

The only reason I wish it was at Fleetwood is the fact that Fleetwood is the school where I have spent my last four years. I have been working hard to graduate from Fleetwood, not Kutztown. But, it all comes back to the fact that we have too big of a class to hold graduation at Fleetwood. Having graduation at Kutztown is a smart decision on our class’s part. Honestly, I’m just really excited to graduate and move to the next step of my life.
