On Monday, 7 March 2016, eight members from FBLA attended a sports and entertainment seminar at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Tara Wily, Taylor Landis, Amanda Meck, Amanda Biedler, Chris Logar, Marissa Werley, Dayna Lochman, and Kristen Knoll are the eight students who were able to partake of the knowledge during the seminar.

The seminar was held from 4-5 p.m., and it included short presentations from four individuals within the Philadelphia Flyers organization. A time for a tour of the main concourse was also given.

The point of this field trip was to learn about sports careers and learn about what it takes to be in sports management. The concourse tour showed key parts of the stadium and the displays for the hat trick hall of fame.

“The tour wasn’t as good as I was expecting, but I enjoyed listening to the speakers and watching the game,” senior Amanda Meck said.

The members, the FBLA advisor, Mrs. Ackerman, and their wondrous bus driver enjoyed the food and the game, which began at 7:00 pm.
