On Friday, 13 May, Fleetwood’s junior/senior prom was held at Stokesay Castle, located just outside of Reading. The prom was held from 6:00-10:00 p.m. in the ballroom. The tickets were $45, and over 400 tickets have been sold. The theme this year was Kings and Queens, a very fitting name, considering prom is being held at a castle.
“It’s all good food. It’s buffet-style,” Mr. Weiss said.
Prom favors this year were glass picture frames that everyone received. There was a photo booth this year with props. The balcony was be open to students with chaperons out there as well.
Some of the chaperons that were at prom this year were Mr. Farr and his wife, Mr. Salpino and his wife, Mrs.Wilkinson, Mr. Weiss and his wife, Ms. Majewski, Mr. Barnett and his wife, Mrs.Sanocki, and Mrs. HIlbert and her husband.
Thirty-five of the tables were filled completely, with over 400 students and chaperons buying tickets. There was music during and after dinner, all approved by Mr. Weiss; however the Dj was taking requests throughout the night.
“It should definitely be an awesome prom this year. I’m excited. Because it’s senior year, it’s bound to be a great night,” senior Natasha Tores said in anticipation of the event.
