Fleetwood seniors Baxter Biehl and Samuel Mitten were recently named November Students of the Month.
Baxter Biehl, the son of Bradley and Brooke Biehl, participates in numerous activities for Fleetwood. He is involved in soccer, tennis, volleyball, men’s chorus, band, chorus, orchestra, choraliers, wind ensemble, vocal ensemble, pit orchestra, marching band, jazz band, chess club, National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Historical Society, senior county band, senior county chorus. senior county orchestra, district band, district chorus, district orchestra, regional band, regional chorus, regional orchestra, PMEA All-State Band, and NAFME All-National Concert Band.
Along with school activities, Biehl takes part in the kid’s ministry at his church.
After graduation, Biehl plans to attend Penn State University to study at Smeal College of Business and hopefully play in the Blue Band.
Samuel Mitten is also involved in many school activities. Mitten engages himself in mock trial, model UN, band, wind ensemble, jazz band, marching band, chorus, chorus piano accompaniment, cross country, and National Honor Society.
In addition to school, Mitten is actively involved in Boy Scouts, for which he completed his Eagle Scout project, a food drive for the local Fleetwood Pantry.
His future plans include attending a four-year liberal arts college to study economics and mathematics. Although Mitten is looking forward to the adventures of college, he will miss Fleetwood.
“I’ll miss the friends and connections I’ve already made, but I know I can make new ones in college,” Mitten said.
Both students were surprised to receive the award but proud of their accomplishments.
“I was shocked but thrilled! I was not expecting it, honestly,” Biehl said.
