Two deserving seniors, Taylor Clark and Laura Menet, were named December students of the month by FAHS faculty.

Both students take part in numerous activities inside and outside of school.

Taylor Clark, the daughter of Michael and Sherry Clark, is involved in the student council, yearbook, and women’s empowerment club. She is an officer of the class of 2023 and volunteers at Safe Trick-or-Treat for Relay for Life as well as Mini-THON, which raises money for the Four Diamonds Foundation to defeat childhood cancer.

Clark admires all that her parents have done for her and gives them credit for shaping her into the person she is today.

“She states they are her biggest supporters and work so hard to provide for her. She admires their drive and leadership skills, and they have taught her the importance of education and always push her to try her best. Taylor emphasizes that she would not be where she is today without them,” history teacher Susan Nagle said.

After graduation, Taylor plans to attend a four-year university and major in communications with a focus on film design and journalism.

Laura Menet has also dedicated herself to her school and community.

Menet is involved in student council, drama club, yearbook, Relay for Life, cheerleading, orchestra, chorus, women’s chorus, choraliers, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Rho-Kappa History Honor Society, and Artifact. Menet also takes time to volunteer at Safe Trick-or-Treat for Relay for Life, the blood drive at school, and Mini-THON.

Menet’s brother, Andrew, has influenced her life for the better.

“Laura states, one person that she admires is her brother, Andrew, for his kindness and his ability to work hard towards his goals,” Nagle said.

Laura’s future plans include studying elementary education with a concentration in special education at Shippensburg University.
