Some of the FAHS chorus students have an exciting time ahead of them!
Thirteen students from Fleetwood auditioned for the Senior County Chorus. All of these students are between 10th and 12th grade. The audition took place on October 14th.
Out of thirteen students who had auditioned, eleven were accepted into the group. They have already started to work hard on their auditions. Each prepared to sing a short passage from a specific piece of choral music. The ones who audition for the part were very determined and excited for their performances.
There are many music trophies awarded at Fleetwood Area High School, which has a very strong music program and many talented chorus students. There are also a wide range of options, from band to orchestra to chorus.
Many kids in the high school are involved and devoted. They enjoy the community and family that chorus gives them!
Choral music is a type of music that is sung in a group, so it can’t be done without a couple of people. This music is typically used in religious services, concerts, opera houses, etc.
The next big chorus event, the winter concert, is December 11th with a snow date on the18th. The concert is going to be held in the high school auditorium.
Students can already hear the chorus members practicing every day in the hallways during lunch as they are giving it their all.
