With graduation only weeks away, the Class of 2012 is beginning to prepare for commencement activities. Graduation, Baccalaureate, Class Night, and a possible senior trip to Dorney Park are all in the works for the graduating class this year.

It is tradition at every year’s Baccalaureate celebration to have a slide show of pictures encompassing the students’ school experiences from elementary to high school in the Fleetwood Area School District. In order to keep that tradition alive, the Class of 2012, along with Ms. Nagle and Mrs. Ackerman, are asking for picture contributions to the slide show for this year’s commencement activities.

“We need pictures from elementary school up until now to capture the essence of the Class of 2012,” senior class advisor and history teacher Sue Nagle said.

The Senior Slide show helps to bring back those fond memories from elementary and middle school before walking across the stage at graduation and saying goodbye to FAHS.

“We don’t want to leave anyone out of the slide show, so we need pictures.  Everyone has had ample opportunities to get them in,” Class Officer Alyssa Delp said.

In addition to the slide show at Baccalaureate, at Class Night various awards and scholarships will be given out to members of the senior class. Graduation will be held indoors, as it has been in the past, and there has been discussion of a senior day at Dorney Park after graduation practice one day when finals are over.

“We are probably going to collect some amount of money for the trip to Dorney since caps and gowns didn’t cost us anything,” class officer Demi Rissmiller said.

Hang in there, seniors. Only a few more weeks to go, and don’t forget to hand in those pictures for the slide show!
