Many of you may have heard of a bucket list, or maybe you have one of your own. A bucket list is a list of things to do or places to go before you die. There are an abundance of places you might want to check out in your lifetime.

Zhangye Danxia landform in Gansu, China, is a beautiful landscape of rainbow colors formed from sandstone and minerals. This formation has been around for 24 million years.

In Banos, Ecuador, there is a swing with an old tree house overlooking a volcano that you can swing on. Keep in mind, though, that it has no harness, so you swing at your own risk.

Off the coast of Belize, there is a submarine hole called the ‘Great Blue Hole’. The water is four hundred and seven feet deep and is one of the top scuba sites in the world.

In Hitachinaka, Japan, many people travel to see 4.5 million flowers bloom in spring. What better way to welcome spring than an abundance of beautiful flowers to see and take pictures of.

In Alaska, there is a cave that lays beneath the Mendenhall Glacier. This glacier actually melts as your warm body walks through it. People go to see icicles, take pictures of the cave and take tours.

Getting a bit warmer is the Tabletop Mountains in Guyana. Considered to be some of the oldest geological formations on Earth, dating back to 2 billion years ago, this mountain serves as a border for Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. The Tabletop Mountains live up to their name as they are flat and look like a mountain cut in half like a table.

If someone enjoys heights, traveling to Turkey might be a good investment. The ancient region of Anatolia has become a popular tourist spot for hot air ballooning. Tons of people go to travel thousands of feet in the air for a relaxing hot air balloon ride–or maybe not so relaxing, if you are terrified of heights.

A more romantic trip might be going to Vaadhoo Island in the Maldives to see a sea of stars. It actually looks like twinkling stars in the water caused from the phytoplankton. A similar spot in New Zealand is the Glowworm cave. This cave actually has glowworms on the ceiling that create a glowing starry effect.

Following the romantic mindset is a place in Ukraine called the Tunnel of Love. The railway is surrounded by a tunnel of leaves and has an active train that runs wood to factories three times a day.

The Grand Canyon in Arizona is a beautiful site of 277 miles long and 18 miles wide and considered one of the seven Natural wonders of the world. Also in Arizona is the Antelope Canyon, referred to as the crack and the corkscrew.

There are many places in the world that are beautiful and filled with culture and historic memories. Do not be afraid to go outside of Fleetwood and add these to your bucket list.
