Syrian Conflict Devastates Nation

The Syrian war is a subject about which the public is very concerned. The war in the underdeveloped country has been tearing homes and families apart now for almost five years.

Rebels are overthrowing the government, causing mayhem.

“Why is no one helping them?  Bringing over refugees only helps so much,” Austin Scott said.

The war started because of anti-government protests. The casualties are great in number. More than 250,000 men, women, and children have lost their lives since the war started back in 2011.

“Murder is just not an answer,” senior Cody Moser said.

Rebel brigades continue to battle the government and take control of territories.

“It’s stupid how they fight over something that does not need to result in war,” senior Shelby Dragon said.
