Currently, in Fleetwood Area High School, four basic dress code guidelines are to be followed. Those include modesty, cleanliness, health/safety, and preservation of proper academic atmosphere.
A few more dress code rules specifically relevant to Fleetwood Area High School include the following: muscle shirts, sleeveless shirts, jerseys, and tank tops must have a shirt over them or under them; clothing and accessories that refer to or promote alcohol, tobacco, or drugs are not permitted in school; no pajamas, sleepwear, loungewear, or slippers should be worn inside of the school; and, jewelry or accessories that can be used or perceived as weapons are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, chains, chokers, rings, or bracelets.
Recently a change has been added to the dress code. Previously, jeans with holes or rips were not allowed to be worn in the school. At the start of the 2016-2017 school year, assistant principal Mr. Thomas Salpino and principal Mr. Stephen Herman announced that jeans that contain holes or rips are acceptable to be worn to school, as long as they are not above fingertip length when the arm is extended downward.
