The Fleetwood Music Department is taking its talents to Baltimore to play music for professionals.

The Music Department is going to Baltimore for three days and two nights between November 22 and November 24.

Senior Ian Snyder, who has been in the Fleetwood Band since freshman year and played the trumpet since fourth grade, elaborated more about the trip.

“On the trip, we are getting clinics with professional musicians, listening to the Baltimore Symphony, and possibly getting to walk around the Baltimore harbor,” Snyder said.

Fleetwood Junior Blake Biehl expressed his excitement about the trip.

“I am pretty excited to go on this year’s band trip,” Biehl said. “It’s always great to miss a few days of school to hang out with your closest friends and make music together.”

The opportunity to work with professionals is something many are looking forward to.

“I am looking forward to getting to work with some great conductors that will help our ensembles improve,” Biehl continued.

Senior Zach Haas, a longtime band member, is also looking forward to the trip.

“I’m looking forward to spending a few days with my friends. My favorite part about band is making music with some of my closest friends,” Haas said.
