What’s a better way to spend a cold winter night than sitting in a warm gym watching the Fleetwood Tigers boys’ basketball team win?
The basketball season is getting very close, and the boys are excited to get out there and play the court. After all those long practices and plays they have to learn, they are ready to dominate some of those opposing teams. Last year was not their best year, but Fleetwood has confidence that this year might be different.
“We’ve been ready since summer league,” senior Sam Delozier said.
One thing that the team members think they need to work on this year is coming together as a team because they have a fairly young team this year, and they lack experience.
The Fleetwood Tigers basketball team wants to at least make it to playoffs this year. The players want everyone to come out and support them on game nights and cheer them on.
“I’m so excited for this year,” Delozier said.
Fleetwood Tigers are losing some valuable senior players next year, including Sam Delozier, Max Lafranchise, Andrew Slusser, Elijah Long, and Jassen Alexis.
