Dr. Gordon Klatt’s twenty-four-hour walk for cancer research created a movement, touched hearts, and saved lives, and, for that, his legacy will live on.

Klatt walked around a track to raise money for cancer research. From that, he created Relay For Life, where people all around the world fundraised for this goal.

According to secure.acsevents.org, to get involved, people can choose to sign up with a team, create a team, or participate solo.

The next step is to raise money for the relay through a Facebook fundraiser.

The last step is to go to the event, have fun, celebrate the community and the difference an individual can make for the organization.

Relay For Life has these events all around the world. There was one on 25 September at the Kutztown Fairgrounds; there was also one in Oley on 3 October.
