The Fleetwood Area High School will be performing one-act plays on Wednesday,  November 16. The plays will start at 7:00 p.m., and there will be a $5 charge at the door.

There will be two plays, the first called “Four A.M.” and the second called “Check Please” with an intermission in between.

The director of these plays is senior student Francesca Snyder, who becomes Fleetwood’s first student director.

“Frankie is an amazing director. She gives us nothing but constructive criticism and support. Frankie puts a lot of work and time into these one-acts, and it’s something you can really admire,” junior actor Katelin Mileshosky said.

These one-act plays will assist the drama club and give more opportunities for students to act, produce, design, and perform. The school also does a spring musical, but for students who do not like musicals, this fall production gives those students a chance to show off their acting skills.

With the cast rehearsing Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and sometimes Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m, participants have become close to each other.

“I would say the atmosphere is very positive.  Sure, people are nervous, but we lift each other up and help each other when needed. It’s like one big family,” actor Timothy Shuman Jr. said.

The cast continues to work hard and get prepared for their performances on Wednesday, November 16.
