Ms. Samantha Phillips is the newest math teacher at Fleetwood Area High School. This is her first year teaching at school.
Phillips went to school at Schuylkill Valley, so she grew up in the local area. She played for the school soccer team when she was in school as well.
Phillips went to college at Albright College and received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and her certification to teach.
“I love it here at Fleetwood! Everyone–staff and student–is so welcoming and helpful!¨ Phillips said.
What makes a good class is being able to help students understand what they are learning and for it not to be boring, and Phillips’ students think she is already doing a great job.
¨She´s probably my favorite math teacher I´ve ever had,¨ junior Danny Alvarez said.
¨Some days are very overwhelming. But at the end of the day, I’m grateful for every memory and opportunity I have been given so far at Fleetwood,¨ Phillips said.
¨Ms. Phillips is an energetic teacher who strives to get to know her students and cares about each of them. The math department is lucky to have her join the team!¨ fellow FAHS match teacher Ms. Katrina Fullington said.
