The Fleetwood Area High School staff is celebrating the February 2022 Students of the Month.

Senior students Megan Brattley and Rebecca Hohl have received February’s students of the month awards. Both students were thrilled to receive this award.

“I honestly was not expecting to earn this recognition, but it made me feel somewhat relieved to know my hard work is noticeable and pays off,” Hohl said.

Both students plan to attend college to receive a degree.

“I am committed to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. I plan to major in Pre-Med Biology with a minor in Spanish or ASL. I will also be playing Division 1 softball,” Brattley said.

“I am excited to say I plan to attend college after high school! Although I don’t have a set-in-stone plan yet, I’m considering attending Carlow University to major in art, painting, and drawing,” Hohl said.

Brattley and Hohl are both very active in their school. Brattley is involved in band, orchestra, chorus, Science Olympiad, swimming, water polo, softball, volleyball, and the medical health professions program.

Hohl is involved in tennis, Spirit Club, and orchestra. She has also dedicates herself to the Fleetwood Library Book Sale, acts as a hair donor, and frequently helps at her church.

“I honestly do not know how I earned student of the month. I feel as though I am one of those people who just gets the job done,” Brattley said.

Both Hohl and Brattley have put amazing efforts toward receiving this award, and their teachers, peers, and classmates are very proud of their achievements.
