Fleetwood Area High School’s staff is celebrating the Students of the Month for March 2022. The two students picked for this month are Sadie Eggleston and Duilio Almanza Valdivia. These two students have shown enormous dedication to their school and their community, leading to them receiving this award.

Both students are involved in many clubs and activities. Duilio has helped his community by participating in the Pink-out and Mini-Thon. He also participates in Student Council and Varsity soccer. These clubs have shown that Duilio is willing to go the extra mile to stand out in his community.

Sadie is also involved in many activities within her community. Eggleston is actively involved in her church and is always involved in Fleetwood’s Art Event. She is involved in The Fellowship of Christian Students, Student Council, Relay for Life, Sustainable Students, Rho Khappa Historical Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, marching band, and pit orchestra. Moreover, she is the section band leader for her instrument, as well as the band librarian and secretary.

The Students of the Month are always chosen by Fleetwood Area High School faculty, so in order to be chosen, a student must stand out with hard work and demonstrate that he or she is willing to go the extra mile when getting things done.

Eggleston mentions many times how involved her parents are in her school life and how they have encouraged her with everything she does.

“My parents have always encouraged me to try my best in school, and their support has definitely influenced my work ethic,” Eggleston said.

Sadie’s future plans involve attending The Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study Interior Architecture. Duilio plans to attend a trade school to study carpentry.
